Land Acquisition Bill 2015 : Reality Check

It has been 68 years of independence and still we are a developing country where as China and Japan , our asian colleagues, have leaped into the future and far better than us. What made them special ?

Answer is industrialisation , basic infrastructure , highways , security and foresightedness . These countries with Europe and American  continents have managed to yield more agricultural throughput from less natural resources and this is the key .

Recently NDA government has introduced amended Land Acquisition Bill 2015 which seems to be more practical than ever . The best thing about the bill is that government is ready for debate in parliament and changes will be made as per suitable suggestions. Some of the anarchist , leftist and pseudo socialist don't want to discuss anything , they just want ruckus on the streets .

1. It has removed the hurdles from path of forthcoming Indian industrial glory . These hurdles made it almost impossible for a new industrial setup to take place .

2. Those who are opposing the bill and the recent amendments were in favour sometimes back . Those who are saying that it is benefitting only corporate lobby were saying something else before .

3. Projects of national importance are vital for the country .

4. I hail from a farmer's family and know the fact that no one wants to sell the land at any cost, Does not matter how poor and bad situation is . New rule says that farmers will continue to get 4 times higher price than the market value . Farmers can retain 20% of their land once the area is developed . if once area is developed , the price of 20% land will rose to 10 times the original value, point to note.

suppose a farmer has 10 acres of land and if he sells 2 acres then he is still has 8 acres . Along with 8 acres he has 80 lakhs rupees, if 1 acres is sold at 10 lakhs market value . Government is going to give 40 lakhs instead of 10 lakhs market value .

But what will happen if a farmer has only 2 acres ? All the land will be taken by government ?

Answer is ..nothing can be done in 2 acres . You can't even give a satisfactory life to your family . I have seen many of my villagers working in factories of Gujarat , Maharastra and Punjab for 8 to 10 thousand salary though they have ample of land in the village .

Farmers sell their land on minimal prices when they want money for marriage , education or ailment treatment. Why no NGO comes forward to help them ?

5 . Are you going to assess the impact if land is acquired for national security ,railway , highways or power plants ? If you say yes , then you are a mocking patriot .

6. Here i am also not agree with NDA government . There must be some time line to complete the project . 5 years is not enough in all the situations but it can be double for project to project . If work is not done in twice the time then land must be returned back to owner . If atomic power station is to be built in 5 years then more 5 years should be given as grace period . No project should be halted for 5 years cap period .

7 . In a nutshell .

Why Kiran Bedi Vs Kejriwal Public Debate Is A Wrong Idea ?

As Delhi is heading towards one more election in less than 15 months , people from all the parties and supporters are excited . Allegation from all the sides are in the air and social media is flooded with individual and public opinions . One of these opinion is for public debate between two faces of two major parties , BJP and AAP , Kiran Bedi and Arvind Kejriwal .

The idea seems not to be innovative , as it is already in place in USA , because of democratic structure of India . It is a suitable way of communicating your ideas to the people in the countries  like USA or UK where 2 party rule and democracy exist .

If Narendra Modi will debate with Rahul Gandhi then surely Narendra Modi will win but it will be totally a wastage of time .
  • This debate will be fruitful only when there will be AK and KB but its not possible as tens of other parties also contesting election
  • Can we believe Kejriwal for putting proven facts as he never done any such act which has led to any result . Same can be said about Kiran Bedi as this is her debut in politics .
  • India is not 2 party democracy hence Debate is totally absurd idea .
  • Biggest question is about moderation . Indian Media can not be trusted which is all about TRP and Election Commission can not moderate as there is no such constitutional rule.
  • Even if debate is done between 2 people , Other parties will cry foul and the public will be confused .
